Kwong Wah Hospital (KWH)

The Fertility centres at KWH and QMH work together with the same protocol to provide assisted reproduction treatment in Hospital Authority.

KWH now provides semen analysis and sperm washing for intrauterine insemination to patients from Princess Margaret Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in addition to the fertility treatment at KWH Hospital.

The number of IVF cycles carried out at KWH is increasing from 100 cycles per year in 2016 to 300 cycles per year in 2020.

Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH)

From 2018 onwards, the alliance of Subfertility Assessment Clinics in Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) & Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH) will provide more efficient service to patients who need such service.

To reduce the long waiting time of subfertility clinic at QMH, your booking may be triaged to PYNEH. The subfertility assessment clinics at both QMH and PYNEH will evaluate the cause of infertility and can provide surgery, induction of ovulation and intrauterine insemination (IUI) as indicated. We will notify you your appointment time and venue through WhatsApp or by mail within 14 days after submission of the referral letter.

After being assessed at QMH or PYNEH, if in vitro fertilization (IVF) is needed, you will be referred to the IVF clinic at QMH for treatment.

Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH)

PMH now providing intrauterine insemination to infertile patients and is going to extend their infertility service to provide IVF to infertile couples in early 2021.

At PMH, patients will have counseling, sign consents and undergo ovarian stimulation and cycle monitoring. When the follicles are mature, they will have the egg pickup and then embryo transfer at Dr. Stephen Chow Chun-kay Assisted Reproduction Centre, Kwong Wah Hospital.

This will further reduce the waiting time for IVF and provide more efficient fertility treatment at Hospital Authority.
